ZAGREB (Croatia), May 22 (SeeNews) – Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) said on Wednesday that its profit before taxes from operations in Croatia increased by 12% year-on-year to 2.4 million euro ($2.7 million) in the first quarter of 2019.
VIG's total gross written premiums in Croatia edged up to 29.5 million euro in January-March from 29 million euro in the like period of 2018, VIG said in an interim financial report.
Gross motor third party liability premiums fell 6.4% to 2.6 million euro in the review period, while other property premiums increased by 39% to 11 million euro.
Gross premiums on the Casco segment fell 3.2% on the year to 1.3 million euro.
