September 20 (SeeNews) - Victoria Zinchuk has been appointed new European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) director for Croatia, the bank said on Thursday.
In this position she will head the bank’s resident office in Zagreb, with a staff of 17, from November 1, the EBRD said in a statement.
Zinchuk joined the EBRD in 2002 and most recently served as associate director in the agribusiness department where she led banking transactions and advised on project structuring with cumulative financing provided to local and multinational clients in excess of 1 billion euro ($1.2 billion) in a wide range of countries where the EBRD invests.
In 2016, Zinchuk served as acting head of Agribusiness and in 2018 she led the EBRD operations in Morocco as acting director, head of office.
Zinchuk holds master’s degrees in banking and finance from the Kiev State University of Economics, Ukraine and the University of Central England, Birmingham. She succeeds Vedrana Jelusic Kasic, who had been EBRD director for Croatia from 2013 to 2018, and recently left the bank to continue her career in the private sector.
