March 9 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on Monday, with tourism company Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] leading the blue-chip losers, ZSE data showed.
Valamar's share price fell by 16.23% to 25.80 kuna, after losing 6.38% on Friday.
The company said earlier on Monday it plans to distribute a dividend of 1.20 kuna per share in 2020, up 0.20 kuna on last year's dividend payout.
Valamar also recorded the highest turnover among the blue chips on Monday, for a second straight trading day, of 9.6 million kuna, including a block transaction of 2 million kuna.
Monday's turnover was boosted by another block transaction in the shares of motor vehicles dealer Auto Hrvatska [ZSE:AUHR], of 2.3 million kuna.
On Monday, ZSE's total trading turnover jumped to 52.9 million kuna ($8.0 million/7.0 million euro) from 29.3 million kuna on Friday.
None of the blue chips posted gains on Monday.
The ZSE's 25-share benchmark CROBEX index lost 9.27% to 1,650.55 after dropping 2.18% on Friday.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, fell 9.41% to 983.17 after shedding 2.18% on Friday.
The fixed-income CROBIS index lost 0.02% to 114.7292.
