BELGRADE (Serbia), October 8 (SeeNews) – US-based heat transfer products manufacturer Modine has opened a 1 million euro ($1.1 million) production facility at its factory in Sremska Mitrovica, the Serbian government said.
The company plans to hire 45 employees at the heating and cooling equipment factory and to increase the number of jobs to a total of 270 at a later stage, the government quoted the director of Modine Serbia, Dejan Nestorovic, as saying on Monday.
The new production facility has a footprint of 3,500 square metres and represents an important step in the development of the company, Nestorovic said.
Modine set foot in Serbia in November 2016 by acquiring the factory of Finnish company Luvata in Sremska Mitrovica. The company designs, manufactures and tests heat transfer products for a wide variety of applications and markets.
