ISTANBUL (Turkey), January 13 (SeeNews) – Turkish sugar and sweets producer Konya Seker Sanayi ve Ticaret placed the highest bid of $685.5 million (582.5 million euro) in the tender for the privatisation of the 990 MW Soma B thermal power plant in the western Turkish province of Manisa, Turkey’s Privatisation Administration said on Tuesday.
The final negotiations in the tender process for the privatisation of the plant were held on Tuesday, the privatisation body said in a statement.

The other bidders in the tender were Turkish companies Alsim Alarko Sanayi Tesisleri ve Ticaret, Kalyon Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret and Bereket Enerji ve Uretim.
