November 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria posted an annual consumer price inflation of 3.7% in October, up from 3.6% in September, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices added 0.7% in October, after rising by 0.3% in September, NSI said in its monthly inflation report.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 31.34% in the consumer basket, increased 3.3% year-on-year in October.
Prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (18.23% weight) grew 4.6% on the year, while transport prices (8.76% weight) rose 9.2%.
Bulgaria’s EU-harmonised consumer price index (HICP) rose 3.6% on the year in October and was 0.2% higher compared to September.
