August 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's economy expanded by 3.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019, after growing by 3.5% in the previous quarter, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a flash estimate on Wednesday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria's GDP growth slowed to 0.6% in the April-June period of 2019, from 1.2% in the first quarter of this year, the NSI said in a statement, citing seasonally adjusted data.
Calculated in current prices, Bulgaria's GDP totalled 28.1 billion levs ($16.1 billion/14.4 billion euro) in the second quarter of 2019, according to the flash estimate.
