August 7 (SeeNews) - Italy's UniCredit Group said on Wednesday that the consolidated profit of its Croatian unit Zagrebacka Banka [ZSE:ZABA-R-A] rose to 112 million euro ($125.2 million) in the first half of 2019, from 95 million euro in the same period last year.
Zagrebacka Banka's net interest income grew 4.6% year-on-year to 198 million euro, while net fee and commission income remained at the prior-year level of 72 million euro, UniCredit Group said in an interim financial statement.
UniCredit's Croatian unit recorded an operating income of 314 million euro in the first half of 2019, up 7.5% year on year. Its net operating profit expanded to 183 million euro from 151 million euro.
The value of customer loans rose 0.9% year-on-year to 9.266 billion euro, while deposits increased by 9.7% to 12.0 billion euro.
