May 8 (SeeNews) - A consortium comprising Turkish airport operator TAV Airports Holding [IST:TAVHL] and Russia-based private equity firm VPE Capital has signed an agreement to take over Kazakhstan's Almaty Airport, with its jet fuel and catering units, for $415 million (382.7 million euro), TAV said on Friday.
"TAV Airports’ share in the consortium will be no less than 75% and the share transfers will take place upon closing with the completion of all legal prerequisites and procedures," TAV said in a statement.

The agreement for the purchase of 100% of the shares of Almaty Airport was signed on May 7.
TAV announced in November it has started negotiations over the potential acquisition of Almaty Airport jointly with VPE Capital.
