April 6 (SeeNews) - Turkey's automotive exports decreased by 10% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2020 to $6.98 billion (6.45 billion euro) as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, local media reported, citing data by Uludag Automotive Exporters' Association, OIB.

In March alone, the automotive industry's exports fell 28.5% to $2.1 billion, Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.

Turkey's overall exports fell 4% in the first quarter, it added.

The automotive sector's exports to the EU countries decreased by 31% on the year in March.
