February 7 (SeeNews) - The shareholders of state-controlled Telekom Slovenije's [LJE:TLSG] endorsed the distribution of a gross dividend of 6.20 euro ($6.68) per share on 2022 earnings, the company said on Tuesday.
Dividend will be paid in two equal parts of 3.10 euro gross on March 22 and August 23, Telekom Slovenije said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
Equity owners will receive almost the entire 40.3 million euro distributable profit of Telekom Slovenije as dividend, and only 1,066 euro will be carried over to 2023, Telekom Slovenije said.
The shareholders of Telekom Slovenije did not vote on a proposal by Slovenia's association of small shareholders, VZMD, for the one-off payment of the dividend.
Telekom Slovenije skipped dividend distribution for 2022 last year to retain the 3.8 million euro state aid it received to mitigate the adverse effects of the energy crisis. The Slovenian government requires the recipients of such aid to pay back the funding if they distribute dividends in 2023.
In 2022, Telekom Slovenije distributed a gross dividend of 4.50 euro per share.
