April 3 (SeeNews) - Three of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) lost ground on Wednesday, whereas the blue-chip SOFIX grew by 0.09% to 808.40 points, bourse data showed.
A 3.85% climb in hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH] to 10.80 levs and a 0.92% rise in agricultural leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC] to 1.10 levs advanced the benchmark index.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, added 0.44% to 96.70 points. It was mostly spurred on by financial services company ITF Group [BUL:ITF], which jumped 7.57% to 5.40 levs.
In contrast, BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, ended the session 0.12% lower at 165.00 points. The index was set back by a 7.50% drop in poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] to 1.48 levs and a 5.00% dip in diversified group Synergon Holding [BUL:SNRG] to 1.14 levs.
Gradus also drove down the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The index slipped 0.23% to 817.65 points, further constrained by First Investment Bank, or Fibank, [BUL:FIB], which lost 2.34% to 2.50 levs.
Finally, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, edged down 0.06% to 191.21 points. Its sole decliner was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which fell 0.29% to 3.39 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the BSE leapt to 10.55 million levs ($5.8 million/5.4 million euro) on Wednesday from 5.66 million levs on Tuesday.
Elana Agrocredit was the top stock by turnover, generating 41,787 levs as 37,988 shares changed hands.
