May 20 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, started the week with a 0.89% decline, after hitting an all-time high of 121.79 points on Friday.
The biggest REIT on the Sofia bourse in terms of market capitalisation - Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6], erased 2.58% to 1.89 levs on Monday, after gaining 7.18% on Friday.
The BGREIT was also hit by a 7.14% decrease in the share price of its smallest member by market capitalisation - Aktiv Properties REIT [BUL:5AX]. Aktiv Properties REIT shares fell 5.41% on Friday.
Advance Terrafund REIT was also the biggest decliner among blue chips on Monday.
However, the blue-chip SOFIX index ended the session 0.09% higher at 569.37 points, as First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] led gainers with a 2.96% rise.
The other major gainers among SOFIX members were Industrial Holding Bulgaria (IHB) [BUL:4ID] and Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV], which added 2.56% and 2.24%, respectively.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the stock exchange in Sofia, edged down 0.01% to 113.75 points on Monday, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.33% to 496.74 points.
The biggest decliner among constituents of both indices was Holding Sveta Sofia [BUL:4HS], which saw a 7.33% plunge in its share price on Monday.
Total regulated market trading turnover fell to 255,000 levs ($146,000/130,000 euro) on Monday from 359,000 levs on Friday.
