October 2 (SeeNews) - Three of the five main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher on Monday, while the blue-chip SOFIX erased 0.93% to 748.73 points, bourse data showed.
The biggest decliners in the benchmark SOFIX were pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA], which dropped by 4.74% to 6.84 levs, and hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:MSH], which shed 3.64% to 10.60 levs.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, dipped by 0.35% to 158.01 points. It was constrained by the losses at Sopharma and M+S Hydraulic, along with a 1.87% slip at cables manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA] to 2.10 levs.
In contrast, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up 0.03% to 788.17 points. The index was lifted by pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT], which jumped by 6.56% to 6.50 levs, and diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], which gained 3.96% to 10.50 levs.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed 0.19% higher at 190.72 points, on the back of a 2.29% climb in real estate investment trust Sopharma Buildings REIT [BUL:SFB] to 26.80 levs and a 1.54% increase at Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER] to 3.30 levs.
Finally, the BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, went up 0.64% to 98.52 points. It was spurred on by Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON], the company behind cargo drone manufacturer Dronamics, which leapt 4.48% to 3.03 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse fell to 592,807 levs ($321,101/303,096 euro) on Monday from 1.22 million levs on Friday.
The top stock by turnover was building materials and fuel retailer Toplivo [BUL:TOPL], generating 140,488 levs with 17,561 shares changing hands. The stock closed 6.67% higher at 8.00 levs.
