April 1 (SeeNews) - All four Bulgarian Stock Exchange indices started the week in red as diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] and its unit Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding [BUL:4HS] led decliners on the exchange.
Holding Varna shares plunged 8.42% to 37.0 levs, while Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding lost 6.03% to 3.74 levs on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding announced that it is no longer the sole owner of Borovete I company, which develops a project for construction of a hotel complex in the Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena resort on the Black Sea coast.
According to commercial register data, Russia's Invest Development and Bulgaria's Rentapark have acquired stakes of 20% and 35%, respectively, in Borovete I through increasing the company's capital by 4.57 million levs to 8.3 million levs.
Another major development, which came shortly before the end bell on Monday, was financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria's [BUL:4EH] announcement that it has submitted a binding offer for the assets of Czech energy group CEZ in Bulgaria. In parallel, Eurohold is looking into the possibility to divest part of non-insurance assets in order to focus on its high growth potential business segments, the holding company said.
Eurohold Bulgaria shares closed 1.04% lower at 1.9 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, while CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:3CZ] shares added 0.92% to 220 levs. The other BSE-listed CEZ unit - CEZ Electro Bulgaria [BUL:1CZ], did not trade on Monday.
The blue-chip SOFIX index dropped 0.51% to 580.90 points on Monday, as a 1.50% drop in the share price of software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] further hit the index.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, lost 0.30% to 115.92 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, declined 0.38% to 504.09 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, slid 0.22% to 120.38 points, as Aktiv Properties REIT [BUL:5AX] and Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:6A6] dropped 2.14% and 0.52%, respectively.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market edged down to 218,000 levs ($125,000/111,000 euro) on Monday from 303,000 levs on Friday.
