February 15 (SeeNews) - Two of the five indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed lower on Thursday, with the blue-chip SOFIX sliding 0.57% to 780.69 points, bourse data showed.
The benchmark index was driven down by IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG], which lost 3.40% to 56.80 levs, and diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR], which declined by 1.35% to 44.00 levs.

The biggest SOFIX gainer, on the other hand, was diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], which grew by 3.45% to 0.72 levs.
Shelly Group and Holding Varna also constrained the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index ended the session 0.28% lower at 161.16 points, further hit by a 5.22% drop in machine engineering company Hydraulic Elements and Systems [BUL:HES] to 5.45 levs.
In contrast, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up 0.06% to 800.52 points. The index was boosted by the rise at Chimimport and a 2.91% increase in diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH] to 10.60 levs.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, added 0.08% to 95.99 points. It was lifted by electric vehicle manufacturer Sin Cars Industry [BUL:SIN], which climbed by 3.46% to 0.478 levs, and venture capital fund Webit Investment Network [BUL:WIN], which gained 1.27% to 0.80 levs.
The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, closed flat at 189.20 points as neither of the two constituents to trade posted any changes from the previous day's close.
Shelly Group also generated the majority of the day's turnover, or 1.24 million levs ($681,110/634,000 euro), after 21,869 shares traded.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse surged to some 1.63 million levs on Thursday from 166,000 levs on Wednesday.
