April 6 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index climbed to a three-week high of 427.78 points, after recording two consecutive winning sessions.
The SOFIX gained 1.05% on Monday, after adding 0.39% in the preceding trading session.
The index's rise on Monday was mostly supported by the two lenders among its members - First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] and Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:4CF]. Fibank and CCB shares rose 7.53% and 5.26%, respectively, on Monday.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased 0.46% to 91.07 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 1.32% to 442.60 points.
Both indices benefited from a 7.97% rise in the share price of Industrial Capital Holding [BUL:4I8].
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, rose 0.49% to 126.16 points.
Total regulated market trading turnover amounted to 422,000 levs on Monday.
