March 15 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian Stock Exchange blue-chip SOFIX index gained 0.74% on Friday, extending its winning streak to three consecutive sessions, supported by the positive run of construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57].
The SOFIX ended Friday at 583.80 points, or an overall gain of 0.22% for the week. However, the index is still 1.79% down year-to-date.
Meanwhile, Trace Group Hold shares advanced 5.93% to 2.86 levs on Friday, notching up four consecutive sessions in green. Overall, Trace Group Hold's share price grew 15.32% this week.
The biggest gainer on the BSE on Friday was financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH], which added 6.29% to 1.69 levs.
Eurohold Bulgaria and Trace Group Hold were the biggest gainers among members of the SOFIX, BGBX40 and BGTR30 indices.
The BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, gained 0.46% to 115.78 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 0.33% to 502.93 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts, closed at 120.39 points, ending unchanged for a second consecutive session.
Total trading turnover on the BSE regulated market grew to 2.1 million levs ($1.2 million/1.1 million euro) on Friday from 453,000 levs on Thursday.
