PODGORICA (Montenegro), May 17 (SeeNews) – Societe Generale banka Montenegro, the Montenegrin unit of French lender Societe Generale, said that its shareholders approved a dividend payout of 5.329 million euro ($5.954 million) for 2018.
The bank will distribute as dividend a total of 50% of its profit for last year, Societe Generale Montenegro said in a statement earlier this week.
Societe Generale Montenegro distributed 3.69 million euro as dividend for 2017.
The bank's net profit rose to 10.658 million euro in 2018 from 7.391 million euro in the previous year.
On Thursday, Montenegro's central bank approved the acquisition of Societe Generale Montenegro by Hungarian financial services group OTP.
