LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 11 (SeeNews) – Slovenian energy group Petrol [LJE:PETG] said it has signed agreements with Russia's T Plus Group and Schneider Electric (SE) Russia for cooperation in energy projects in the cities of Izhevsk and Yekaterinburg, respectively.
“We fulfil the goals set by Petrol through the active development of decentralised energy production and environmentally friendly sources, as well as the development of smart cities, factories and networks to provide sustainable and competitive energy and environmental solutions tailored to the user,” Petrol CEO Tomaz Berlocnik said in a press release on Tuesday as he visited Russia as part of a business delegation accompanying Slovenia's prime minister Marjan Sarec.
In cooperation with T Plus, the largest Russian private heat and power supply company, Petrol will work on projects aimed at optimising district heating systems in Russia, with the first project to implemented in Izhevsk, the company said.
In cooperation with Schneider Electric Russia, Petrol will set up specialised software and IT support for an automated heating supply control system in Yekaterinburg.
In late August, Petrol said its consolidated net profit rose 4% on the year to 40.7 million euro ($45.1 million) in the first half of 2019.
Petrol's shares closed unchanged at 340 euro on Wednesday on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
