May 27 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 5% month-on-month to 1,217 GWh in April, while total electricity consumption fell by 6% to 1,167 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The output of hydro power plants increased by 49%, the output of thermal power plants fell by 18%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, decreased by 3% as compared to March, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the lower production in the thermal power plants, fuel consumption in April 2019 also decreased by 15%.
In April, Slovenia imported 847 GWh of electricity and exported 882 GWh.
