August 29 (SeeNews) - Slovenian pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] said it raised its own shareholdings to 5.245% from 5.234% after repurchasing 3,809 of its shares for an overall 377,753 euro ($377,115) on the Ljubljana bourse.
Krka bought 350 shares at 99.80 euro each on August 19, a further 925 shares at 99.71 euro each on August 22, 849 shares at 98.99 euro on August 23, 787 shares at 98.20 euro on August 24, as well as 898 shares at 99.41 euro each on August 25, it said in a bourse filing on Friday.
Prior to the transactions, Krka held 1,716,246 of its own shares. Following the repurchase, it now holds 1,720,055 own shares.
The share purchase is part of Krka's new share buyback programme, launched in July 2020, under which the company plans to acquire a maximum of just over 1.84 million own shares over the following 36 months. The maximum pecuniary amount allocated to the programme is 356.4 million euro.
