September 23 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new commercial vehicles in Slovenia dropped by an annual 16.7% to 6,659 in the first eight months of this year, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said on Friday.
Registrations of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes fell by 24.7% on the year to 4,987 vehicles in the January-August period, ACEA said in a statement, citing provisional data.
Registrations of new medium and heavy commercial vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes rose 22.3% on the year to 1,613 in the period under review.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, fell by 18.8% year-on-year to 1.051 million in the first eight months of this year.
In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 10.2% lower at 153,288.
