March 14 (SeeNews) - Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] has recorded a consolidated net profit of 7.3 million euro ($8.0 million) in 2023, up 42%, it said.
Consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) totalled 15.8 million euro in 2022, up 5%, Intereuropa said in an annual financial report on Wednesday.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to 11.1 million euro, an increase of 35% relative to the previous year, while sales revenue went down to 188.5 million euro from 200.4 million euro.
"The year 2023 was challenging for the Intereuropa Group and most global logistics companies. Lower economic growth, reduced volume of trade between EU countries and the rest of Europe, high inflation, weak demand and the war in Ukraine and the Middle East had a significant impact on logistics flows," it noted.
Despite the uncertain economic and political conditions in the international environment, Intereuropa managed to provide uninterrupted logistical support to its customers throughout the entire supply chain, the company added.
The group’s net debt amounted to 27.5 million euro at the end of 2023, down from 42.5 million euro in December 2022.
