May 9 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's Impol Group has launched a new production line worth 6.5 million euro ($7.3 million) at its Croatian unit, Impol-TLM, Croatian media reported on Thursday.
The new manufacturing facility will produce aluminum sheets for the automotive and aerospace industries, thus helping strengthen the positions of the Croatian company on the automobile market and enhancing its entry in the aviation sector, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik reported.
The new production line started work on Wednesday.
Impol entered Croatia in 2016 and has invested 80 million euro so far in its subsidiary Impol-TLM - one of the largest Slovenian investments in the country.
Impol-TLM employs some 400 people but their number is expected to rise, considering Impol's plans to open a new foundry in Croatia by 2021.
Impol's Croatian unit is expected to roll out 100,000 tonnes of aluminium products this year.
