LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 4 (SeeNews) – Slovenian industrial conglomerate Hidria said it has signed a deal to supply aluminium housings for steering systems to German car maker BMW for its new hybrid and electric vehicles.
The housings will be used in the manufacturing of BMW vehicles as of 2023 as part of a contract valid until 2030, Hidria said in a statement on Monday.
The statement did not reveal the price of the deal but news agency STA reported on Monday that the contract is worth 30 million euro ($33 million).
This contract, together with deals for key parts of electric drive motors signed at the end of last year, is a guarantee of Hidria's successful development and additional strengthening in global markets, the company statement said.
Hidria Corporation has more than 1,800 employees in Slovenia, Germany, Hungary and China.
