April 6 (SeeNews) - Slovenian white goods manufacturer Gorenje [LJE:GRVG], controlled by China's Hisense Group, has extended the shutdown of all its European factories for another week, to April 10, the company said.

Production at the Velenje factories will resume on April 14, except for the washing machine production, which will be restarted on April 10, Gorenje said in a statement on Saturday.

The Mora plant in the Czech Republic will also start work on April 14, while the factory in Serbia's Valjevo will resume operations on April 13.

On March 20, Gorenje closed down its production sites in Europe until April 6 to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and protect the health of its employees, even though there were enough materials to support the manufacturing processes, the company said back then.
