July 23 (SeeNews) - Slovenia’s consumer confidence indicator fell by 1 percentage point on a monthly comparison basis in July, after adding 2 p.p. in June, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
The consumer confidence indicator fell in July due to the more pessimistic expectations of consumers about savings and households’ finances (by 4 p.p. and 3 p.p., respectively), the statistical office said in a monthly consumer sentiment survey.
The expectations about the country’s economy and about the number of unemployed improved (by 2 and 1 p.p., respectively).
On an annual comparison basis, the value of the consumer confidence indicator was 3 p.p. lower in July. Among its components, the expectations about the number of unemployed and the country’s economy worsened the most, by 8 p.p. and 6 p.p., respectively.
Expectations about household finances also decreased by 2 p.p. year-on-year in July, whereas the expectations about savings improved by 4 p.p.
