May 9 (SeeNews) - Slovenia's consumer prices grew by 3.0% year-on-year in April, after rising by 3.6% in March, the country's statistical office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices rose by 1.0% in April, after edging up 0.2% in March, the statistical office said in a statement posted on its website.
The annual growth rate was pushed up the most, by 0.6 of a percentage point (pp) each, by 4.8% higher prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, as well as by 7.3% higher prices in restaurants and hotels, which contributed 0.5 pp.
The biggest impact on the monthly inflation, 0.5 pp, came from higher prices of recreation and culture services, in which the package holidays prices rose the most, up 13.8%, while clothing and footwear prices grew by 4.2% and added 0.3 pp.
Measured with the harmonised index of consumer prices, the annual growth of consumer prices was 3.0% in April.
