September 28 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell for a ninth consecutive session on Wednesday, as none of the blue chips closed higher, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index ended the trading session at 967.31 points, down 2.18%. The SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, also lost 2.18% and closed at 1,210.70 points on Wednesday, LJSE data showed.
Fuel and petroleum refining Petrol [LJE:PETG] paced the blue-chip decliners, with shares falling 5.13% to 370 euro. Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] was another major loser, with shares declining 3.53% to 32.80 euro.
Total daily regulated market turnover fell to 2.3 million euro ($2.2 million) on Wednesday compared with 2.5 million euro generated on Tuesday.
Pharmaceutical company Krka [LJE:KRKG] was the most traded company on the bourse on Wednesday, accounting for a turnover of 888,453 euro. Krka's shares lost 0.46% and closed at 86.40 euro.
