June 17 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at North Macedonia’s international airports in Skopje and Ohrid reached 712,258 in the January-May period, up 154.3% compared with the same period of last year, Aeroports de Paris (ADP) said.
In May alone, passenger numbers increased to 190,413, up by 115,386 from May 2021, while in the 12 months through May, passenger traffic rose 189.5% to 1.8 million, ADP said in a statement on Thursday.
ADP owns 46% of Turkey’s TAV Airports, the company operating the airports in Skopje and Ohrid.
Aircraft movements at the two airports reached 6,276 in January-May, up 54.5% compared to the first five months of 2021.
In May alone, there were 1,824 aircraft operations at the two airports, 704 more than in May of last year.
In the 12 months through May, aircraft movements rose 91.4% year-on-year to 17,202.
