September 16 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at North Macedonia’s international airports in Skopje and Ohrid reached 1,549,440 in the January - August period, up 82.5% compared with the same period of last year, Aeroports de Paris (ADP) said.
In August alone, passenger numbers increased to 306,616, up by 69,240 from August 2021, while in the 12 months through August, passenger traffic rose 97.6% to 2 million, ADP said in a statement on Thursday.
ADP owns 46% of Turkey’s TAV Airports, the company operating the airports in Skopje and Ohrid.
Aircraft movements at the two airports reached 12,808 in January-August, up 35.2% compared with the like period of 2021.
In August alone, there were 2,186 aircraft operations at the two airports, 203 more than in August of last year.
In the twelve months through August, aircraft movements rose 47.8% to 18,324.
