January 26 (SeeNews) - Four of the five share indices of the Sofia bourse ended the trading week in the green, with the blue-chip SOFIX gaining 0.72% to 787.72 points, bourse data showed.
The benchmark index was pushed higher by a 4.35% climb in IoT products maker Shelly Group [BUL:SLYG] to 57.60 levs and a 2.00% rise in fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] to 25.50 levs.
In addition to these two companies, a 5.00% jump in cables manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA] to 2.10 levs advanced the broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index grew by 0.47% to 162.02 points.
Meanwhile, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.18% to 813.04 points, driven by the gains at Shelly Group and Neochim.
The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, closed 0.39% higher at 104.51 points. It was lifted by a 3.81% leap at organic foods producer and distributor Smart Organic [BUL:SO] to 21.80 levs and a 0.73% increase at biometric identification security systems developer Biodit [BUL:BDT] to 1.38 levs.
The only index to post a decline on Friday was the BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts. It lost 0.16% to 190.92 points, following a 0.75% tumble in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF] to 2.64 levs.
Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange surged to roughly 1.68 million levs ($935,678/858,967 euro) on Friday from 637,205 levs on Thursday.
The day's most liquid stock was Shelly Group, of which 8,625 shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 496,800 levs.
