September 2 (SeeNews) - Bosnian pharmaceuticals producer Bosnalijek [SAJ:BSNLR] said it has received a proposal from its shareholder drug maker Hercegovinalijek to dismiss the company's supervisory board, after a similar unsuccessful attempt made earlier.
Hercegovinalijek has proposed to replace all of the members of the supervisory board at the shareholders meeting scheduled for September 19, Bosnalijek said in a bourse filing on Thursday.
The shareholding interest of Hercegovinalijek is not displayed on the website of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE).
In January, Hercegovinalijek together with local diversified group AS Holding proposed to Bosnalijek's shareholders to dismiss the supervisory board and audit committee, but the meeting was cancelled. AS Holding holds a 15.56% stake in Bosnalijek, SASE data shows.
Bosnalijek's general manager Nedim Uzunovic was arrested in December and May on suspicion of involvement in organised crime, money laundering and abuse of office, according to earlier local media reports.
Bosnalijek's shares closed 0.74% higher at 32.60 marka ($16.6/16.7 euro) on the SASE on Thursday. They did not trade at opening on Friday.
