BELGRADE (Serbia), July 3 (SeeNews) – Serbia's Leskovac city council said it is providing a plot of land for the construction of a cable set factory of UK-based car parts manufacturer Aptiv Packard, formerly known as Delphi Automotive.

Aptiv Packard plans to hire at least 2,000 employees in Leskovac and to invest 17.5 million euro only in the construction of a complex comprising production facilities and an office building, the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, said in March.
Delphi Automotive announced in September that Aptiv and Delphi Technologies will be the two publicly-traded companies that will result from the company's previously announced spin-off of its Powertrain Systems segment.
Aptiv, which comprises the Electronics & Safety and Electrical/Electronic Architecture businesses, will focus on accelerating the commercialisation of active safety, autonomous driving, enhanced user experiences and connected services, providing the software, advanced computing platforms and networking architecture required to do so, the company said in September.
