August 2 (SeeNews) - No bidders turned up at the tender for the sale of Serbia's state-owned aircraft maintenance company JAT Tehnika, the economy ministry said.
The tender was closed on August 1 as no bids were received by the July 31 deadline, the economy ministry said in a notice on Thursday.

The ministry invited potential investors to place bids for the entire capital of JAT Tehnika on June 24.
Companies with a revenue of at least 40 million euro in 2018 and with air transport as their main activity were entitled to participating in the tender. Other requirements were the possession of Bombardier and Embraer type base and line maintenance certificates.
The Serbia government owns directly 95.4% of the capital of JAT Tehnika, while the remainder is in controlled by the country's pension, social security and unemployment agencies.
JAT Tehnika is based at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and provides services for Air Serbia. The company is certified to provide full maintenance for the Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation family, as well as for ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft. JAT Tehnika was certified to maintain the Airbus A320 family in 2013.
