March 4 (SeeNews) - Serbia's ICT sector exports are expected to reach 10 billion euro ($10.9 billion) by 2027, compared with 3.5 billion euro in 2023, telecommunications minister Mihajlo Jovanovic was cited as saying by local media on Monday.
“If we continue with this growth rate of around 30% per year, at the end of 2027 the export of ICT will be as much as 10 billion euro,” Jovanovic was quoted as saying by news agency Tanjug at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
The minister attributed the expected growth to ongoing efforts in digital infrastructure development, preparation for artificial intelligence advancement, and plans for expanding science and technology parks across various cities.
Jovanovic pointed out that last year's exports of 3.5 billion euro represent a tenfold increase compared to 2012.
