May 23 (SeeNews) - Serbia's foreign exchange inflow from tourist services amounted to 399 million euro ($423 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up by 43.5% on an annual comparison basis, trade and tourism minister Tatjana Matic said.
"The results show that Serbia's tourism has a huge potential and that we should continue to work on making our country a globally competitive and attractive tourist destination," Matic said in a statement published on the ministry's website on Friday.
According to the latest data issued by the country's statistical office, the number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in the first three months of 2022 came in at 834,289, which is 142% higher compared to the first quarter of 2021.
