October 29 (SeeNews) - Serbian lender Direktna Banka said on Monday it has completed the integration of the local banking and leasing operations of Greece's Piraeus Bank.
With the integration, Direktna Banka has significantly expanded its business network, the supply of products and services, as well as the value of its total assets, the bank said in a statement.

Moreover, the presence in important retail centres in Serbia has been enhanced, while the bank's operations have been expanded to cities where it has not been active before, such as such as Cacak, Valjevo and Vrsac, Direktna Banka said.
Piraeus Bank agreed in October 2017 to sell its Serbian banking and leasing operations to Direktna Banka for a cash consideration of between 58 million euro ($66.2 million) and 61 million euro. The transaction was completed in April 2018.
