January 15 (SeeNews) - Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation accelerated to 2.0% in December, from 1.9% in November, official statistics show.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.1% in December, after dropping by 0.3% in November, according to figures published on the website of the national statistical office.
Prices of clothing and footwear fell by 0.2% month-on-month in December, prices of communication services decreased at the same rate, while prices of healthcare services grew 0.4%.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.0% in December, while transport costs declined by 1.7%.
Serbia's average annual consumer price inflation slowed to 2.0% last year from 3.0% in 2017.
