BELGRADE (Serbia), July 17 (SeeNews) – Serbia's government has launched a tender for the construction of Belgrade Center Railway Station building, as well as parking space and adjacent commercial facilities, the state property directorate said.
The Serbian government will provide the land needed for the construction project and bidders should adjust their solutions to the urban planning parameters set by the city of Belgrade, the Directorate for the Property of the Republic of Serbia said in a notice on Tuesday.
The deadline for submitting bids in the tender is August 30.
The urban design project of the Belgrade Center Railway Station, also known as Prokop, provides for 118,436 square metres of gross area for combined use. The building will have a floor area of 13,886 square metres, and will include space for passengers, railway facilities, as well as technical and office premises. The complex will also have a parking lot for 1,200 cars, and a retail space of 51,750 square metres.
Serbia's infrastructure ministry approved a project for the second phase of the reconstruction of Prokop railway station in 2017. The first phase was carried out by blue-chip civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] and was completed in January 2016.
