LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), September 3 (SeeNews) – The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) rose on Tuesday, lifted by gains in the share price of insurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] and fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG], bourse data showed.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), closed at 852.06 points, up 0.20% on Tuesday.
Sava Re posted the biggest gains among the blue chips, closing at 16.8 euro, up 1.20%.
Petrol's shares added 0.89% to 341.0 euro. Last week, Petrol said its consolidated net profit rose 4% on the year to 40.7 million euro in the first half of 2019.
At the losers' end, logistics group Intereuropa [LJE:IEKG] fell the most among the blue chips, erasing gains recorded in the previous two sessions.
Intereuropa closed 3.08% lower at 2.52 euro. On Monday, the company's shares rose 0.78%, after adding 2.38% on Friday.
LJSE's total trading turnover rose to 930,400 euro ($1.0 million) on Tuesday from 602,530 euro on Monday.
Pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] contributed the largest portion of Tuesday's turnover – 594,120 euro.
