February 4 (SeeNews) - Romanian self-adhesive labels manufacturer Sunimprof Rottaprint said on Tuesday it plans to invest over 4 million euro ($4.43 million) this year.
The investment will be put into new intelligent production lines, software development, work safety, environmental protection and new certifications, Sunimprof Rottaprint said in a press release.
The company targets a double-digit revenue growth this year after it closed 2019 with a turnover of more than 23 million euro, up about 7% on 2018.
In 2019, the company invested 1.5 million euro in expansion of its car fleet and purchases of equipment for development of new production lines.
"In 2020, we will continue to develop manufacturing lines for new product categories in the Rottaprint portfolio and we strengthen our commitment to ensure an efficient and environmentally friendly production. All these investments, combined with last year's achievements, help to optimize our internal production flow and extend our product range, which is why we can expect a double digit growth of our 2020 turnover," Sunimprof Rottaprint CEO Cristi Nechita-Rotta said.
According to company data, its most sought after products in 2019 were self-adhesive labels, aluminium covers and labels made of heat shrinkable foil, mostly for the food and beverage industries.
Established in 1991 in Apahida, Cluj county, Sunimprof Rottaprint is the largest flexographic printing house producing self-adhesive labels in Romania. It has four logistics centers - in Timisoara, Brasov, Ilfov, Pascani, and two logistics centres abroad - in Hungary and Germany.
