February 6 (SeeNews) - Romanian household paper products manufacturer Pehart Group said on Tuesday it has invested over 8 million euro ($8.6 million) in a new conversion line for Away from Home (AfH) products, which has been operational since the end of last year.
The investment marks the company's entry on the AfH market, together with the introduction of its new SOVIO brand, Pehart Group said in a press release.
The SOVIO brand will debut with 18 products, including paper towels, sheets for cosmetic and medical cabinets, napkins, and toilet paper.
Last year, Pehart Group invested over 20 million euro to diversify its portfolio, enhance export capacity, and boost energy efficiency. This included launching wet tissue paper under the Pufina brand and investing 12 million euro to cut energy consumption by 20% per machine at its two factories.
The upgrades continue in 2024 for premium product quality and optimised energy use, Pehart Group said.
Pehart Group was established 187 years ago and is present in nineteen European countries.
