“Following the merger, our strategy perfectly complements Gorgany’s vision, where the store is not only a sales space but also a meeting place for the mountain community,” Sorin Delivasile, Montrek manger and store co-owner, said.
The merger addressed the challenge of attracting mountain enthusiasts and fostering a vibrant community, recognising that the local expertise and passionate team at Montrek were essential to achieving their goals.
Despite successfully replicating its community-building model and showcasing the Turbat brand internationally, the challenge of attracting mountain enthusiasts crucial for business success persisted, prompting Gorgany to join forces with the locally-established Montrek store, Oksana Donets, one of the Ukranian associates of the store, added.
In addition to featuring Gorgany’s Turbat brand, the new Montrek store also showcases other outdoor brands of several international manufacturers.
Montrek has a 20-year experience in outdoor equipment retail. The company was acquired by Sorin Delivasile in 2022.
