January 19 (SeeNews) - Romanian private healthcare services provider MedLife Group [BSE:M] said on Thursday it has opened a 2.7 million euro ($2.9 million) clinic in the central-western city of Deva.
The 1,000 sq m clinic offers integrated imaging services, laboratory analyses, consultations and complete investigations, MedLife said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
The new multidisciplinary unit has a fully equipped radiology and imaging department, two biological sample collection rooms, investigation rooms, post-anesthetic rooms and ten medical offices.
MedLife currently operates in over 700 own and partner locations, including over 230 clinics and hyper-clinics. Almost 800,000 employees have MedLife medical service subscriptions.
In December, the group signed a syndicated loan of 228 million euro to refinance an existing credit and boost its national footprint through acquisitions. Before using the newly available funds for development and new transactions, MedLife will focus its efforts on the integration of the 13 companies acquired in 2022, it said at the time.
MedLife closed the first nine months of 2022 with a consolidated pro-forma turnover of 1.3 billion lei ($278 million/263 million euro), up 27% on the year, recording a double-digit advance for most business segments.
MedLife's shares traded flat at 18.98 lei at 1354 CET on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
