May 3 (SeeNews) - Romania's unemployment rate stood at 3.8% in March, unchanged from the previous month, the national statistical office, INS, said on Friday, citing provisional data.
On an annual comparison basis, Romania's jobless rate was 0.5 percentage points lower in March, INS said in a statement.
There were 345,000 unemployed people in Romania in March, down from 350,000 in February, and lower than 388,000 in March 2018.
The jobless rate among women was 3.4% versus 4.0% among men in March 2019. The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 3.1%. The percentage of unemployed people aged between 25 and 74 in the total number of unemployed was 71%.
Romania's workforce is estimated at about 9.0 million out of a population of some 19.5 million.
