July 12 (SeeNews) - Romania's industrial sales rose 7.6% year-on-year in May, after growing by 9.7% in April, data from the country's statistical office, INS, showed on Friday.
Sales of intermediate goods rose by 9.6% in the year in May, while capital goods sales grew by an annual 9.5%, INS said in a press release.
Sales of durable goods rose by 8.1%, while sales of energy rose by an annual 9.7% in May. Sales non‐durable goods were 0.2% higher in May this year compared to May 2018.
In May, sales of capital goods fell by a monthly 11.7%, sales of non-durable goods rose by 2.5%, sales of goods were 9.5% higher and sales ales of energy were up by a monthly 7.2% in May.
Sales of‐durable goods rose by a monthly 9.9% in May.
During January-May, industrial sales were 7.5% higher on the year.
In 2018, Romania's industrial sales rose by an annual 11.8%.
