April 12 (SeeNews) - Romanian IT and consumer electronics retailer Flanco said it is changing its name to Flanco Smart Discounter and launching on Friday a new discount store concept.
The company is launching the new concept in its rearranged electronics store located in Bucharest's AFI Cotroceni Mall, it said in a press release issued on Thursday.
Ten more Flanco stores will be rebranded and rearranged in 2024, with 70 of its locations to follow suit next year. The process is set to be completed in 2026.
Earlier this year, Flanco bought two real estate projects for new stores, each with an area of 5,000 sq m.
The Flanco brand was launched in 1994. The retailer employs over 1,500 people, owning a network of 157 stores in 113 Romanian cities.
