September 13 (SeeNews) - Romania's foreign debt increased to 107.6 billion euro ($99.42 billion) at the end of July from 99.4 billion euro at the end of 2018, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
The end-July figure includes 73.3 billion euro in long-term foreign debt, up from 67.96 billion euro at the end of 2018, BNR said in a monthly balance of payments report.
Long-term external debt service ratio fell to 17.6% at end-July, compared to 21.2% at end-2018.
Goods and services import cover stood at 5 months at end-July, from 4.9 months at end-2018.
The ratio of the BNR’s foreign exchange reserves to short-term external debt by remaining maturity decreased to 77.7% at end-July, compared to 74.3% at end-2018.
